A music festival, a street party, a fair that fills a whole quarter. People on the grounds can switch on Festival mode: your name and colours, the stages, what is playing now and what comes next.
Festival mode belongs to organisations. Most of the work happens in the web console.
Create your organisation in the web console and write to us. Once we have verified it, the events area opens.
Add the festival with its dates, then each stage or area on it. Choose an accent colour for the festival and one for each stage. The console warns you when a colour is hard to read.
Add each act with its stage and time. Visitors see who is on each stage now, or next where it is quiet, and can open the full programme and filter it by stage.
Someone on the grounds is offered Festival mode in their feed. They choose it, they can leave any time, and it switches off by itself a while after they leave the area.
Imagine a three-day festival along a canal with a main stage, a tent and a courtyard. The festival has an accent colour of its own, and each stage has one too. On Friday afternoon a visitor opens snakken on the grounds, taps Festival mode and sees who is on each stage now, or next where it is quiet. The full programme is one tap away.
This is an illustration, not a result.
Screens from the iOS app, filled with demo content. The festival does not exist.
The grounds, the stages and the programme are set up in the web console, by the people in your organisation who plan the festival. The app is where visitors see the result.
Some of these may not be available yet. We list them so you know the direction, and we are not putting a date on any of them.
A note to everyone on the grounds, such as a changed start time, and a warning that takes over the screen when it matters.
Scan the code on the poster or at the entrance and Festival mode is on.
If you sell tickets, carry on with the shop you use now. Payments are not part of snakken, and we have not decided whether they will be.
People on the grounds are offered Festival mode because they are there. Nobody can pay to be offered to people who are not.
You get no names and no positions of the people on the grounds. The phone works out on its own whether it is there.
Organisations. Step 1 above shows how.
Yes. The app offers it when someone is on the grounds, and they choose.
Yes. The festival gets an accent colour of your choice, and each stage its own. The console tells you if a colour is hard to read, and the choice stays yours.
In the feed of people in the area around it, and under What's on in the week it happens.
You need one or the other, a place or a group. A market on a square can be a place of its own, and a regular run usually belongs to a group.
No. An I'm in only says someone plans to come, so keep your ticket shop where it is.
We have not settled on pricing, so there is no price list yet. If you are budgeting for a season of events, write and we will tell you what we know.
A few lines are enough: what it is, when and where, and how many people you expect. You hear back what works for your event now and what does not yet.
This opens your mail app. There is no form and no tracking behind it.
